FedEx Pilots to Conduct Informational Picketing in San Francisco
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Now in their 28th month of contract negotiations, FedEx pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int'l (ALPA), will conduct informational picketing on Thursday, July 27, outside a FedEx Kinko's on Pine Street in San Francisco to show their increasing frustration with management's unwillingness to address the pilots' issues in negotiations. The pilots have been working without a new contract for more than two years.
"Our pilots have clearly told us that two years is too long in these negotiations considering our reasonable proposals and the pilots' contributions to FedEx's remarkable profitability," said Captain David Webb, chairman of the FedEx unit of ALPA. "We continue to work toward a negotiated agreement and we hope FedEx management shares that goal."
More information on the pilots' ongoing negotiations can be found at http://www.fedexlabortalks.com
