FedEx Pilots to Conduct Informational Picketing in Dallas

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Now in their 25th month of contract negotiations, FedEx pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), will conduct informational picketing on Monday, May 1, outside the FedEx Kinko’s on Airport Freeway in Hurst to show their increasing frustration with management’s inability to legitimately address the pilots’ issues in negotiations. The pilots have been working without a new contract for nearly two years.

“Our pilots have clearly told us that two years is too long in these negotiations considering our reasonable proposals and the pilots contributions to FedEx’s remarkable profitability,” said Captain David Webb, chairman of the FedEx unit of ALPA. “Despite our continued efforts to reach an agreement, FedEx management has instead chosen to respond with regressive offers that are reflective of opportunistic greed in a time of airline industry turmoil.”
