Mesaba Pilots to Webcast Rally from Minneapolis

Labor groups representing Mesaba pilots, flight attendants, and mechanics will hold a labor coalition rally on Wednesday, March 15, in Minneapolis. The event will draw news media attention to the plight of Mesaba employees and demonstrate the unions’ strong support for their negotiating committees. Pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, and their families are invited to attend.

The rally will take place in the Great Lakes Ballroom at the Mall of America. A dinner buffet will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. CST. The rally will begin at 6:30 p.m. CST and last until 7:45 p.m. CST.

For those who may not be able to attend the rally in person, the event will be simulcast over the Internet to satellite locations in Detroit and Memphis. ALPA members and their families from other pilot groups are welcome to attend the rally and the satellite webcast locations.

“Mesaba pilots appreciate all the support we are receiving from other ALPA pilot groups during this fight,” says Capt. Tom Wychor, Mesaba MEC chairman. “That support, along with ALPA's measurable resources and staff expertise, gives us a certain level of hope that would otherwise be nonexistent based on our circumstances.”
