Delta Air Line Pilots to Picket in Salt Lake City

ATLANTA, Ga. - Delta Air Line pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int'l (ALPA), will conduct informational picketing in Salt Lake City to demonstrate their disappointment with Delta management's continued intransigence at the negotiating table and their apparent intent to use the bankruptcy process to reject the pilots' contract.

The goal of the union remains to negotiate a comprehensive agreement. The union has been working diligently in a good faith effort to negotiate a comprehensive agreement that meets the legitimate financial needs of our Company while meeting the long terms goals of the pilots.

Chairman Lee Moak said, "I am disappointed to report that management's actions at the table indicate they are not committed to reaching a consensual agreement on terms we consider reasonable or acceptable. Their continued reluctance to soften their outrageous demands and address our issues is creating a seemingly impenetrable roadblock to progress. The Delta pilots are prepared, unified, and will fight for their contract."

Picketing will take place as follows:
Salt Lake City International Airport
11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. MST on Monday, February 26, 2006

Founded in 1931, ALPA represents 62,000 pilots at 39 airlines in the U.S. and Canada. ALPA represents approximately 6,000 active DAL pilots and 500 furloughed DAL pilots. Visit the ALPA website at http://www.alpa.org and the Delta pilots' website at www.deltapilots.org.
