FedEx Pilots to Conduct Informational Picketing at FedEx Corporation Shareholders’ Meeting in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Now in their 18th month of contract negotiations, FedEx pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), will conduct informational picketing on Monday, September 26, outside the FedEx Corporation shareholders’ meeting at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. An additional contingent of pilots will hold a demonstration outside the FedEx Express Air Operations Center near Memphis International Airport. The pilots, who have been working without a new contract for more than a year, are picketing to show their continuing frustration with the slow pace of talks.

“With very little progress to show for 18 months of negotiations, our pilots are growing increasingly tired of management’s delay tactics,” said Captain David Webb, chairman of the FedEx unit of ALPA.
