Trans States Pilots Picket Washington Dulles

November 25, 2008 - Trans States pilots conducted informational picketing at Washington Dulles International Airport today to protest their management’s refusal to earnestly participate in the negotiations process. Walking with the TSA ALPA members were fellow pilots from Comair, American Eagle, ExpressJet, and Air Wisconsin.

The TSA pilots have been negotiating with management for a new contract since February 2006. Despite nearly 3 years of negotiations, both sides remain far apart on key contract issues. TSA pilots are paid 7 to 23 percent below industry-average wages for pilots at airlines of comparable size providing comparable service.

TSA pilots picketed in St. Louis on November 20, and opened a strike center on November 18.
