ALPA Puts Safer, More Secure Skies in the Spotlight
2008 ALPA Air Safety & Security Forum agenda tackles runway safety, data sharing, cargo issues

WASHINGTON - The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), will take on the airline industry’s most critical safety and security issues at its 54th Annual ALPA Air Safety & Security Forum, to be held August 13-14 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. The 2008 Forum showcases “Leadership at Work,” focusing on how airline pilots enhance air safety and security each and every day as they transport passengers and cargo.

The 54th Annual Air Safety & Security Forum will gather leading aviation safety and security experts to discuss the latest developments, trends, and technologies in the airline industry. The Air Safety & Security Awards Banquet, the Forum finale, will recognize those individuals who have contributed to ALPA’s 77-year tradition of excellence in the piloting profession.

Wednesday, August 13
ALPA’s Annual Air Safety & Security Forum begins at 1 p.m. Eastern and the day features top aviation safety and security issues facing pilots and the industry today, including:
